PATATE DOUCE: Marie-Ève’s love at first sight –

I had in mind to adopt a small grey female and finally, I left with a big male red-white obsese! Like what, one never knows what life has in store for us!

It was while talking with a friend and a volunteer that I finally oriented my choice towards Enzo, a big one and a half year old cat. Being in an apartment and working full time, it was better for me to go with an adult cat. Enzo is always ready to give affection. He is very social and of a calm and observant nature. He is not an animal that has lacked love. His former owner had to dispose of him despite himself. When I took this big ball of fur in my arms, I knew that I couldn’t let it go anymore.

Barely at home, I already had the feeling that Enzo (now renamed Sweet Potato), was making himself feel at home. He explored every corner and would come back to stick to my ankles from time to time while purring. He is an animal that does not know stress. I pass the sweeper and he doesn’t flinch. He is quiet and sleepy (hence his name Patate), but I discovered that he is also an explorer and that he loves to play. He’s having fun with all the boxes in his path and even went into the dishwasher while I had my back turned. According to his behaviour at the shelter, I didn’t think he would be so entertaining! I bought him a cat tree and I think he’s the happiest cat in the world. He is treated to little onions and receives all the appropriate care. He really brightens my days!

I’m so happy with my choice!
