Become a FOSTER FAMILY for the Eastern Townships SPA.

For the moment, we have enough foster families to meet our needs. If you wish, it is still possible to fill out the form below. We will then be able to contact you if a place becomes available.

We look forward to welcoming you as one of our precious foster families!

We do our best to ensure that the animals we place in foster care have received all necessary diagnosis and treatment. However, it may happen that some of these animals may have a disease that we have not been able to detect. We want to make sure that our foster families are comfortable with this eventuality. Are you comfortable with this situation?
While it is possible to rehabilitate the vast majority of the animals we place in foster care, there are circumstances that may nevertheless cause us to make difficult euthanasia decisions. How do you deal with this eventuality? Would you be able to accept such a decision if it affected an animal in your care? *
Would you be willing to take in the pet of a fellow citizen affected by a disaster, or who needs this type of support from time to time, for example during an hospitalization? *

Would you be willing to host a cat with rhinotracheitis in a foster family for its convalescence?

Rhinotracheitis is a virus similar to the flu. Cats that are housed in the shelter sometimes contract it. During their convalescence, it is ideal for these cats to stay with a foster family. It is important to note that cats with rhinotracheitis can be contagious to other cats, but not to other animal species or humans. These cats usually need to take medication during their convalescence.
