This clinic was created to contribute to the decrease of the cat population in the Eastern Townships. The SPA allows animal caretakers with limited financial resources to have their cats spayed or neutered at a lower cost.
This project would not have been possible without the generous financial contribution of $250 000 from Pet Smart Charities of Canada. Thank you!
Why should I have my cat spayed or neutered?
In addition to reducing the feline population in your area, sterilization has many benefits. For female cats, it reduces the risk of uterine and mammary glands cancer. For male cats, it reduces “marking” behaviour and the strong smell of urine.
See our article on the benefits of sterilization to learn more about it.
